Pumpkin patches

Chadwick Farm. The family-owned farm at 113 County Road 215 runs a pick-your-own pumpkin patch on weekends during the fall season: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays, with weekday school field trips by reservation. Visit Oxford’s fall guide lists hayrides to the patch, treehouses and rope bridges, a corn pit, a petting barn and a farm store. Check the farm’s site for admission.

St. Peter’s pumpkin patch. For more than 30 years, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has filled its lawn with truckloads of pumpkins each October, and proceeds support the church’s youth programs, Visit Oxford says. It lists usual hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday; confirm with the church before you go.
