When is it

Visit Oxford lists homecoming among the town’s annual events and says it pairs a parade with a football game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The bureau says it typically falls in late September or early October; in 2026 it is the weekend of Oct. 16-17.

Ole Miss picks the homecoming game when it sets each season’s football schedule. We will add the 2027 date to this page once the schedule names it.

The parade

Visit Oxford lists the 2026 parade at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. It is free to watch. The university had not posted a route or a lineup on its own pages as of Oct. 16.

Expect campus traffic to tighten at the same time. Ole Miss Athletics says the Grove and the Circle close at 5:30 p.m. on the Friday before every home game, and the Grove loop closes from 5:50 p.m. until University Police says it is safe to reopen.

The game and tickets

Ole Miss plays No. 13 Missouri at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, the schedule shows. Season tickets for 2026 are sold out; Ole Miss Athletics says single-game tickets are on sale through olemisstix.com.

  • All 2026 tickets are mobile only. Printed mobile tickets are not accepted at the gate.
  • Every fan 12 months and older needs a ticket.
  • Stadium gates open two hours before kickoff.
  • Students enter only at Gates 1-6 on the north side.

Parking and shuttles

On-campus game day parking needs a pass from the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation, and Ole Miss Athletics says nearly all of it is sold out for 2026, with limited spaces left at the Jackson Avenue Center. Fans without a pass should use one of three off-campus lots, according to the game day guide:

  • Northwest Mississippi Community College, 1310 Belk Blvd.
  • South Oxford Center, 2301 S. Lamar Blvd.
  • Oxford High School, 101 Charger Loop

The athletics department lists the Missouri game among its top-tier games, with lot parking at $75, rising to $100 the week of the game. Passes are sold through the CLUTCH! parking app. A free shuttle runs from all three lots, starting at least five hours before kickoff and ending two hours after the game. There is no shuttle from Insight Park.

Alcohol, weapons and non-service animals are not allowed on the shuttles.

Tailgating in the Grove

  • The Grove and the Circle reopen at 6 p.m. Friday for tent setup.
  • University Avenue is open for drop-off and pickup after 6 p.m. Friday.
  • Tents may be no bigger than 10 by 20 feet; stakes are not allowed, and only hay, wheat straw or pine straw may be put down on the ground.
  • Campus, the Grove and the Circle close three hours after the game or at midnight, whichever is first.

What to know before you go

  • Bags: clear bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag or a clutch about the size of a hand.
  • Not allowed in the stadium: strollers and baby carriers, umbrellas, outside food and drinks (one sealed or empty plastic bottle up to 20 ounces is fine), folding chairs, noisemakers, drones and non-service animals.
  • Smoking is banned everywhere on campus, including vaping in the stadium.
  • Accessible parking: an ADA shuttle runs from the South Oxford Center lot to the north side of the stadium, and golf cart shuttles start at 7 a.m. Call Parking and Transportation at 662-915-7235.
