Principal Dana Bullard, according to the school’s website, which lists four assistant principals: Karyn Fortenberry, Michele Rudd-Toles, Ashley Shannon and Christopher Yancy.

Enrollment and teachers

The most recent federal count, from the NCES directory for the 2023-24 school year, is 1,370 students and 88 full-time-equivalent teachers, about 15.6 students per teacher. The state’s 2025-26 report card counts 94.1 teacher FTEs at the school.

State report card

Oxford High earned an A for 2025-26, with 839 of 1,000 possible points, in the Mississippi Department of Education’s results file, released Oct. 15, 2026. A high school needed 769 points for an A this year. The Oxford School District as a whole earned an A with 746 points.

From the same file and the school’s report card:

Measure, 2025-26 Oxford High
Reading (English II) proficiency 65.4%
Math (Algebra I) proficiency 81.6%
Science (Biology) proficiency 83.0%
Four-year graduation rate counted in the grade 89.9%
Acceleration (advanced courses) 87.1%
Chronically absent students 24.2%

Mississippi grades every school and district from A to F. The state says the grade counts test scores in English, math and science, how much students improve from one year to the next, with extra weight on the lowest-performing 25% of students, English learners’ progress and, for high schools, the graduation rate and a readiness index of ACT, SAT and WorkKeys results, advanced courses and diploma endorsements, according to its guide to the system (PDF). The state raised the bar this year, and it says 2025-26 grades set a new baseline that “cannot be compared to grades for previous school years.”

Attendance zone

The Oxford School District has no attendance zones inside its boundary: it runs one school for each grade band, so every district student in ninth through 12th grade is assigned to Oxford High. Its feeder school is Oxford Middle School, for seventh and eighth grade.

The district’s boundary does not follow the city limits. The district’s boundaries page has a map and says it “should not be considered official confirmation of school assignment or district boundaries”; it asks families to confirm a property with the Lafayette County Tax Assessor at 662-234-5562. Homes outside the boundary are in the Lafayette County School District, whose high school is Lafayette High. We found no boundary change approved by the school board.

Calendar and bell times

The school’s website lists student drop-off from 7:45 a.m., breakfast from 8 a.m. and classes from 8:40 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Its 2026-27 bell schedule uses five blocks, with three lunch periods between 11:30 a.m. and 12:55 p.m., and separate advisory, pep rally, early-dismissal and late-arrival schedules.
