15 places for breakfast and coffee in Oxford: North Lamar and the Square, Jackson Avenue West, University Avenue and Ed Perry Boulevard.

Last checked Oct. 16, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Oxford’s sit-down breakfast is mostly on North and South Lamar and around the Square: Big Bad Breakfast, ByrdHouse, Circle and Square, First Watch and Velvet Ditch. The chain diners are on Jackson Avenue West and Ed Perry Boulevard, and the drive-thru coffee is on Jackson Avenue West and University Avenue.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Oxford’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 16, 2026. We added 7 Brew, Bim Bam, Bottletree, ByrdHouse, Circle and Square, First Watch, Huddle House, IHOP and Starbucks from Visit Oxford’s dining directory and their own sites. Where a place has no website, or its page would not load, a 2026 record in the state health department’s food facility search confirms it is operating. We left off Heartbreak Coffee on North Lamar, whose site would not load and which has no state inspection since April 2025, and Dunkin’ on University Avenue, with none since February 2025. For weekend brunch, see our brunch guide. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
